Winter sports fans will find their personal paradise in the
Land of the Three Peaks. Snow covered slopes invite you to enjoy
wintry fun on perfectly groomed pistes in the surrounding ski
resorts. In the immediate vicinity, on the edge of the national
park, there are the pistes and lifts of the Braies ski resort,
which can easily be reached by ski bus. The motto here is “small
but perfectly formed!” The nearby winter sports strongholds of
Plan de Corones, Monte Elmo, Cortina, and the approx. 1200 km of pistes of
the Dolomiti Superski carousel - the largest connected ski
resort in the world – mean that there is even more variety. Away
from the pistes, hikers and backcountry skiers will find
countless opportunities to discover the idyllic mountain world
of the Upper Pusteria Valley on snow-covered trails and tracks.
Lovers of cross-country skiing will also be delighted by the 200
km long cross-country skiing network that links the villages of
Sesto, San Candido, Dobbiaco, Villabassa and Braies to one another
and snakes through the unspoilt natural surroundings in close
proximity to our hotel. The reliable and convenient Upper
Pusteria Valley bus service is very useful for discovering this
large cross-country skiing network. With the Mobilcard, this
super service is not only an environmentally friendly, but also
a very cheap alternative to the car.
